Leakage is all precipitation, leaking through the disposed layer of waste. Contrary to a waste dump, the leakage from the landfill Daibe doesn't reach the soil and ground water, but is collected and stored in a specially constructed pool, from where it goes to the reverse osmosis leakage treatment facility.
The plant provides treatment of the polluted water to the degree of distilled water. The polluted material is returned to the disposal repository.
The plant was purchased within the framework of a project co-financed by the Cohesion Fund of the European Union. Read more here.
